Dave’s Mission . . . (Short Version)

Hi Friend,

I am a 51 Year old Father of 9 who is a follower of Jesus. I was diagnosed with ADULT ADD at the age of 40 and began taking Ritalin along with my son (who started taking Ritalin, and later other Meds, before he was 6. He is now 22. For many reasons we both stopped taking Meds and have been off of them for years. I am now on a mission to help bring awareness to Natural treatments for ADD & AD/HD and to find creative ways to fund Natural treatments for those who cannot afford them. This “Disease”as many call it has tragically become an “epidemic” having grown from 500 thousand in 1985 to between 5 and 7 million today. The ADD ADHD label put on our children at such an early age can have life long consequences. I hope you will join me in my pursuit of Natural remedies for ADD & AD/HD. I have also been exploring the many positive aspects I have always felt were “ADVANTAGES” to an ADD persons personality traits. My son and I have recently started taking supplements and I will be reporting on our progress as time goes on both here and on Youtube via videos. Please contact me with your own natural remedies, insights, struggles and testimonials here in the comments section. I would love to hear from you. Dave

  1. Hi Dave,
I like your blog. I just started something along the same lines.
    addventures.wordpress.com
About using ADD/ADHD as a fuel for success especially as it relates to internet marketing…which I’ve found is a dream for us ADD’ers.
So I’m chronicling my experiences with both. I’m adding you to my blogroll and would love a linkback as well.

    Thanks
    Brad

  2. Hi Brad,
Loved your climbing the mountain analogy to internet marketing . . . one of the best I have seen! Great post! I wish you well in all your online adventures! Outcasts (AD/HDer’s) ROCK! You can skype me at: davidmahorney

  3. Hi Dave,

You know, I’ve used that phrase for years – “Drinking water from a fire hose.” And like you I found out about ADHD just recently – at 39. Thanks for putting out this blog because I just went through a very dark period because life seemed so bleak. Couldn’t see a way out with what I called ADHD at the time, a “curse.” I’ll add you to my blogroll. I appreciate your candor!
