Have you ever been around an AD/HD person who has found their new Passion? We want to know everything . . . NOW! We are relentless! “Sleep? What’s that? “
We are driven . . . with all else falling by the wayside. Eating, kids, spouse, shelter (no door knobs being fixed, kids noses being wiped, or honey-do lists being checked off at this stage of the game) very little else gets done once an AD/HD person finds their new Passion and starts to “Hyper-Focus”. And then, after a few days,weeks or months (depending on our age) we finally hit the wall. The crash can be messy. Then is when we say ” I feel like I have been drinking from a firehose”.
Ah Yes . . . This can be the point at which the AD/HD person has come to an ever so familiar crossroad . . . once again. Will we “Burn Out” or continue on and fulfill our dreams (as Leonardo, Edison, or Churchill? ) Or will this be yet another “Thing” left undone or “Phase” we are going through.
I think the older I get the more I want to MAKE SURE I am following my TRUE Passion (My Calling) and not getting sidetracked with things that SEEM new and exciting . . . God Help me to be who you made me to be.
